Pompeii & Herculaneum Switch Combo

Visit Herculaneum self-guided then tour Pompeii with an archaeologist guide or vice versa from Rome by rail. Explore both sites with ample time in each to see everything. A unique journey through ancient Roman history.

We were the first tour operator in Rome to combine a guided tour in one venue with a first entrance ticket to another venue. It was in the year 2012 when we made the decision to deliver a "2 in 1" guided tour / ticket combo of the Vatican Museums and Colosseum. It became our top-selling activity.

Since then, the entire Rome travel and tourism sector has followed us. Activities that combine a Rome tour with a venue ticket have become rather common.

Of course we try to give travellers as many options as possible in Pompeii and Herculaneum from Rome. We offer different types of train tickets, entrance admission tickets, tours at different times of day, and tours of both sites for the definitive full day experience.

Touring Pompeii and Herculaneum can get tiring, especially when sandwiched between train journeys from and back to Rome. We discovered that a subset of travellers would likely appreciate being guide-led part of the way, then going self-guided the rest of the way.

Pompeii & Herculaneum Switch Combo gives you control over your day. Our tour / ticket combination means one less meeting point deadline, ergo less to worry about and more sightseeing time in the ruins.
